Here are some answers to frequently asked questions about 4sight Roleplay. If you have a question that isn’t answered below, feel free to reach out via direct message to any member of the 4sRP staff team.
Absolutely not! We want our members to have fun and laugh while they’re roleplaying. “Realistic roleplay” to us means that the things you are doing in roleplay are actually possible in real life. For example, if you jump off a building and your parachute fails and your character survives (or at least escapes critical injury), that’s unrealistic. However, a group of mimes skydiving together is silly and ridiculous and completely fine. Be as funny as you want (especially if you’re a civilian!); just keep realism in mind.
No. There was a brief period of time early on when we first launched the community that we had a form of ranks for our LEO only, structured very differently from how ranks typically work in other communities. However, after feedback from our members, we realized that this was not well received and we removed the rank system entirely. All members (including staff/admin) are subject to the same set of rules, and there are no ranks, supervisors, etc.
No. We understand that real life comes first, and that there will be times that you simply can’t log on – whether it’s because you’re busy with your job, tied up with family, or even burned out on RP. All we ask is that you remain as active as possible in the community so that we know you are wanting to remain an active participant. If you are inactive for an excessively long time, and you don’t respond to one of our infrequent activity surveys, you may be removed (though we typically will have a conversation with you first).
No. The only time members are monitored is if an admin is investigating a complaint from another member about their behavior. We don’t do bans based on hearsay; we need evidence. So if the member was unable to submit any evidence themselves, the admin team will observe the member to see if there is anything that warrants further action. Aside from that, we are all too busy enjoying the roleplay ourselves to worry about monitoring anyone…
